反切

反切fǎn qiè

◎古漢語注音方法，用兩個字注讀另一個字，例如“塑，桑故切(或桑故反)”。被切字的聲母跟反切上字相同(“塑”字聲母跟“桑”字聲母相同，都是s)，被切字的韻母和字調跟反切下字相同(“塑”字的韻母的字調跟“故”相同，都是u韻母，都是去聲)

◎古人切語之法，用二字以求一字之音，上字與所切之字雙聲，下字與所切之字疊韻；上字以定清濁，下字以定平上去入；如“東，德紅切”、“反，甫晚切”。

反切

反切是古人在“直音”、“讀若”之後創製的一種注音方法，又稱“反”、“切”、“翻”、“反語”等。反切的基本規則是用兩個漢字相拚給一個字注音，切上字取聲母，切下字取韻母和聲調。
