◎《西遊記》故事：豬八戒以釘耙為武器，常用回身倒打一耙的絕技戰勝對手。現在多用來比喻自己幹了壞事不承認，反而對檢舉人反咬一口；或者是不接受別人的批評，反而指責批評的人。

◎《西遊記》中豬八戒用釘耙作武器，常常假裝敗走，等敵人追近，再猛然回身攻擊。後則以倒打一耙比喻犯了錯誤或做了壞事，不但不承認，反而誣陷揭發或批評的人。也作“倒打一鈀@@@倒打一瓦”。

例如如：“小王揭發小李監守自盜，不料小李倒打一耙，反說小王是主使者。”
