◎科舉考試同年登科的人相互的尊稱。

◎稱謂：(1)​ 唐宋以來，科舉考試同榜者互相尊稱為“年兄”。唐 · 李端〈晚夏聞蟬寄廣文〉詩：“因垂數行淚，書報十年兄。”也稱為“年長兄”。(2)​ 稱呼自己的同學。(3)​ 主試者對門生的稱呼。

例證《醒世恆言 · 卷二六 · 薛錄事魚服證仙》：“鄒年兄好沒分曉！既是有心救我，何不就送回衙裡去？”《儒林外史 · 第三六回》：“虞伯士出去會著，問道：『那一位是武年兄諱書的？』只見人叢中走出一個矮小人，走過來答道：『門生便是武書。』”
